The Haupage MediaMVP is interesting. Media steaming device - runs linux, and there is an open source version of the firmware now at http://www.mvpmc.org/

Another similar cool device is the SlimDevices squeezebox and the associated SlimServer server for it - http://www.slimdevices.com. All runs Linux.
